Davidson of Dundee – This family-owned store has been a central Florida staple since 1967. Still owned by the Davidson family, I got a tour when I visited, and they still make their candies by hand today! But this place has more than sweets to offer. They have a large assortment of Florida-themed gifts, including my favorite – chocolate alligators! You’ll be hard-pressed to find nicer people.

Desert Sage – This boutique offers some of the finest teas and accessories to luxe candles. Their latest product is their reed diffuser – which is Made in France by a famous perfumery.

Fisherman’s Village – Located in Punta Gorda, this waterfront shop has over 25 shops and eight restaurants. Their Festival of Lights is going on now with lots of photo ops, and they have live music Thursday – Sunday.
